For the past seventeen years it has been my privilege to serve as lead pastor here at New Covenant. It has been an incredible journey as we have watched the hand of God move in our midst. From young people to old we have seen God drawing people of all walks of life into His presence and into our church. You will always find open arms to welcome you, inspiration from God's Word to help you in life, and incredible fellowship with other believers.
God has blessed me with my wonderful wife Robin who has ministered right alongside of me and continues to play an intrical part in our ministry here. It is our desire to lead others and equip others to effectively reach their world for Christ.
I am passionate about teaching/preaching, discipling others and sharing the simple story of how much Jesus loves you and I. To me there is no greater joy than being able to serve God in such a great church and incredibly beautiful area. I love the opportunities to write for Lifeway Christian Resources and to teach others in conferences. I enjoy backpacking, fishing, water sports, traveling and spending time with my family.
Born and raised in Longview, Texas. From a young age David has always had a heart for our youth and for helping kids come to know and love our Lord Jesus Christ. While on a mission trip to Europe, David and Sarah (formerly Ramey) met and it didn't take long to realize that they were in love. Soon after returning to the States, David moved to Grass Valley to marry Sarah. Since then, having started a family of their own, they are excited to help serve our church and community to help our kids and young families grow in their love for Jesus.
David currently works in the family business. He enjoys traveling and playing sports. He also enjoys working on vehicles and being outdoors, particularly with his family at the river or on a hike.
